Ain Shams University prepared for the reception of the new academic year, which starts on 11.10.2014
This was stated by Prof. Mohammad El Husseiny El Toukhy, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs where he confirmed on the completion of all equipment for buildings and maintenance of all the stands and laboratories in various colleges and halls have been set up and filled the new colleges, as well as follow-up maintenance work and renovations of halls for male and female students and equip their restaurants and nutrition commensurate with the tastes of the students, identified as university student numbers commensurate with the energy absorptive real university hostels.
He added that applying to university hostels can be done electronically through the e-government site www.egypt.gou.eg in light of the prescribed conditions of residence and admission rules and listed on the site, and that the university will not accept students who have proven them their participation in acts of sabotage and rioting, and the medical examination will be conducted on students before sedation, and students will sign a pledge to respect the rules and norms of the university.
Dr. El Toukhy explained that the university has contracted the installation of 2 armored doors to the main campus to face the violence, as well as contracting for the installation of surveillance cameras in the other campus .As for the educational process , regularity of the study and practice of student activities for our students , the university has brought instruction to faculties to abide by the text of the Regulation on controls attendance and not the absence of students for lectures and announce it to all the students inside the classroom and on faculty site, and it was agreed with the deans of the colleges to work on the provision of means of access and modern development of computer labs and libraries, and the announcement of school schedules before the beginning of the school year, and the preparation of programs, student activities and receive new students and encourage them to exercise their right in various activities organized by the university in all fields of sports, cultural, artistic and social activities such as contributing to the formation of a personal university student and lend social communication skills and leadership skills.
There are strict instructions to the faculties of the need to activate the role and positive impact for faculty members and their assistants on the students and hold continuous meetings with them, to correct misconceptions among some of them, and the commitment of faculty members and their assistants to be present during the months of study, the interests of the proper functioning of the educational process and the travel ban except in cases of maximum necessity estimated by the dean of the faculty.
As for the aspects of security within the university, he asserted over the continued maintenance of electronic gates and increase security personnel to work in university security device, and to provide security personnel with metal detectors and explosives and the intensification of security services at the gates, and put the instructions of security and special instructions entering the University with the university ID and inspection of all bags and cars.
