Dr Agnieszka Lobodziec is an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Section of Literature of the English Speaking World, English Department, University of Zielona Gora, Poland. In 2012 she published a book titled Black Theological Intra-racial Conflicts in the Novels of Toni Morrison. In January 2015 she was elected as a member of the Committee for International Programs by the Toni Morrison Society. She received the research grants at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies, Berlin (2003 and 2012), a conference grant from the European Association for American Studies (Hague 2014), and from the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to participate in the Summer Study of the United States Institute on Contemporary American Literature, Louisville, Kentucky, USA, (2014). Her main interests are Black American literature, American Studies and literary theory, and critical race theory. Currently, she researches womanist literary theory and black American internationalism.
